Created by drying dark red seedless grapes, they become black shrivelled and very flavoursome! Looking like miniature raisins, their characteristics are in fact very similar being used in much the same way.
A highly versatile fruit they can be eaten raw for a healthy snack or added to breakfast cereals or porridge. They are used in any number of baked products from bread and muffins through to cakes and pies. They also make excellent additions to both sweet and savoury dishes.
