Created from Thompson seedless grapes, these raisins have been treated with sulphur dioxide and oven dried (as opposed to sun dried) giving them their characteristic golden appearance). Golden Raisins tend to be juicier than dark raisins with more of a “honey” sweetness which some consumers find preferable.
The raisins work well in savoury dishes such as rice, cous cous and salads while also having the more common uses of dried fruit such as in baked products and in cereals such as porridge.
